Subject: Mailing List to sent e-mails to LISA SPAIN

Description: LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) is a large-class mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) to observe, for the first time, gravitational-wave sources in the low-frequency band, from 0.1mHz to 1Hz. LISA was selected in 2017 after the success of the LISA Pathfinder technology demonstrator mission and the first detection of gravitational waves by the USA LIGO ground observatory, In 2024 LISA passed the mission adoption review and entered the implementation phase. This triggered a restructuring of the LISA consortium and a new organization of the mission groups.

Spain, as an ESA member state, has an important contribution to the LISA payload and ground segment through the LISA Data Distributed Processing Centre. Scientists working at Spanish institutions collaborate in all the aspects of the mission, including scientific preparation work on Fundamental Physics, Astrophysical and Cosmological sources, as well as data analysis developments. The LISA Spain Forum is open to all the researchers working in Spain interested in different aspects of the LISA mission and its science. It organizes an anual in-person meeting to gather people, discuss progress and promote collaboration.
